Newcastle ended their winning run against Fulham and the Magpies will be very motivated to get back on track and win this match. Their opponent is just outside the relegation zone, thus this match will be very important for both sides. Wigan failed to build on the away win in Portsmouth, having been held to a goalless draw by Stoke. The Latics will also see this game as a chance to kick-start their campaign.

The Gunners pulled off a great result against Manchester United, thus ending the poor run of results. This will be another opportunity for Wenger to see some of his young stars in action and also rest the first team regulars. Wigan was unable to end the poor run of results, having taken just point against Stoke and they will try to surprise Arsenal and make it to the next round.

They will be eager to get another three points and escape from the dangerous zone. He will be eager to win this game and show everyone that he is good enough to coach Portsmouth. Wigan lost fourth successive league match and they will have to try and take all three points from Portsmouth.

Both Fulham and Wigan are very close to the relegation zone but it seems that they have the quality to do much better. Fulham is without a win in their last five league games and the hosts will have to try and win this match or else they would fall into the relegation zone. After some very good performances lately, Wigan suffered a heavy defeat at the hands of Aston Villa and Steve Bruce faces a difficult job of lifting the players’ spirits before this match.

This should be a very interesting match as both sides play attacking football pleasing to the eye. Wigan was unlucky to lose last two games despite being the better team and the Latics will hope their luck changes when they meet Aston Villa. Despite all the money in the club City is still the same, as they trashed Portsmouth 6:0, only to be thrown out of the Cup by Brighton. Still, the focus is on the Premier League, and this will be the game where City will give their best.

Spurs are still at the rock bottom and in search for their first Premier League win this season. The win against Wisla will have eased a bit of pressure on the players, but unless they win this game, the pressure will be even bigger. Wigan was held by Sunderland in an attempt to win the second consecutive game, and Steve Bruce will not be looking to ease Tottenham troubles when his side visits White Hart Lane.
